This Addendum temporarily supplements the Privacy Policy and applies solely for the duration of the FarmerChat AdMob pilot in India (the "Pilot"). It applies exclusively to users ("Data Principals" or "you") who access and use the FarmerChat application within the territory of India for the duration of the Pilot period. This section is drafted in anticipation of and alignment with the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.
During this Pilot only, we use a third-party advertising service, Google AdMob, solely for the purpose of serving advertisements to users in India. The collection, use, and sharing of your personal data are limited to the purposes explicitly disclosed in this Addendum.
The processing of this data is necessary to safely and effectively serve ads (even non-personalized ones). This data processing relies on the use of Mobile Device Identifiers (the mobile equivalent of web cookies):
Your participation in viewing ads is based on the following choices:
You may withdraw your consent for Personalized Ads (PA) at any time by adjusting your preferences in your Android device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization, depending on your Android version), or through your Google Account Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). Doing so will automatically revert your preference to Non-Personalized Ads (NPA). The option to withdraw consent for all ads is not currently supported during this Pilot.
As a Data Principal in India, you may contact our Grievance Officer with any questions or complaints related to this Addendum or the processing of your personal data under the DPDP Act. You may reach the Grievance Officer at grievanceofficer@digitalgreen.org. We are committed to addressing your concerns promptly and within a reasonable period of time.
